“Oh Lord, look at this,” Madge said to her best friend for life, Bea, as they sat on her porch. The Arkansas summer sun was pouring down around them as they found shelter under the overhang.
They watched as a young man parked his car in front of Madge’s house. Once he got settled, and showed off his parallel parking skills, he cut the engine and stood out of his car.
The two older women stared in disbelief as the man, who was an easy 6’2”, walked around his car to her fence and smiled. Bea turned to Madge. “Why is a man that fine smiling at you?”
She shrugged from her rocking chair.
